2010-2011 TONY AWARD NOMINATIONS

Nominations for the 65th annual Antoinette Perry Tony Awards, celebrating excellence on Broadway, were announced this Tuesday mornin.

ANYTHING GOES has been nominated for Best Revival of a Musical, Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical (Sutton Foster), Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical (Adam Godley), Best Direction of a Musical (Kathleen Marshall), Best Choreography (Kathleen Marshall), Best Scenic Design of a Musical (Derek McLane), Best Costume Design of a Musical (Martin Pakledinaz), Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Peter Kaczorowski) and Best Sound Design of a Musical (Brian Ronan). 

ARCADIA has been nominated for Best Revival of a Play and Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play (Billy Crudup). 

THE BOOK OF MORMON was nominated for Best Musical, Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical (Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells), Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical (Rory O’Malley), Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical (Nikki M. James), Best Book of a Musical (Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone), Best Original Score (Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone), Best Direction of a Musical (Casey Nicholaw and Trey Parker), Best Choreography (Casey Nicholaw), Best Scenic Design of a Musical (Scott Pask), Best Costume Design of a Musical (Ann Roth), Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Brian MacDevitt), Best Sound Design of a Musical (Brian Ronan) and Best Orchestrations (Larry Hochman and Stephen Oremus). 

BRIEF ENCOUNTER has been nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play (Hannah Yelland) and Best Sound Design of a Play (Simon Baker).  

GOOD PEOPLE has been nominated for Best Play and Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play (Frances McDormand). 

THE HOUSE OF BLUE LEAVES has been nominated for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play (Edie Falco). 

THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST has been nominated for Best Revival of a Play, Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play (Brian Bedford) and Best Costume Design of a Play (Desmond Heeley). 

JERUSALEM has been nominated for Best Play (Jez Butterworth), Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play (Mark Rylance), Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play (Mackenzie Crook), Best Scenic Design of a Play (Ultz), Best Lighting Design of a Play (Mimi Jordan Sherin) and Best Sound Design of a Play (Ian Dickinson for Autograph).   

LOMBARDI has been nominated for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play (Judith Light). 

THE MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT has been nominated for Best Play, Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play (Bobby Cannavale), Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play (Yul Vázquez), Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play (Elizabeth Rodriguez), Best Direction of a Play (Anna D. Shapiro) and Best Scenic Design of a Play (Todd Rosenthal). 

THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE has been nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical (Donna Murphy). 

PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL has been nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical (Tony Sheldon) and Best Costume Design of a Musical (Tim Chappel and Lizzy Gardiner). 

THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS has been nominated for Best Musical, Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical (Joshua Henry), Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical (Colman Domingo and Forrest McClendon), Best Book of a Musical (David Thompson), Best Original Score (John Kander and Fred Ebb), Best Direction of a Musical (Susan Stroman), Best Choreography (Susan Stroman), Best Scenic Design of a Musical (Beowulf Boritt), Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Ken Billington), Best Sound Design of a Musical (Peter Hylenski) and Best Orchestrations (Larry Hochman).
