2010-2011 Drama League Award Nominations

2010-2011 DRAMA LEAGUE AWARD NOMINATIONS Nominations for the 77th annual Drama League Awards, celebrating excellence in Broadway and Off-Broadway theatre, were announced this morning.

ANGELS IN AMERICA has been nominated for Distinguished Revival of a Play and Distinguished Performance (Christian Borle). 

ANYTHING GOES has been nominated for Distinguished Revival of a Musical and two Distinguished Performance Awards (Colin Donnell and Sutton Foster). 

ARCADIA has been nominated for Distinguished Revival of a Play and two Distinguished Performance Awards (Billy Crudup and Raúl Esparza). 

THE BOOK OF MORMON has been nominated for Distinguished Production of a Musical and two Distinguished Performance Awards (Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells). 

THE COLLECTION and A KIND OF ALASKA has been nominated for Distinguished Revival of a Play and Distinguished Performance (Lisa Emery).

THE DIVINE SISTER has been nominated for the Distinguished Performance Award (Charles Busch). 

THE DREAM OF THE BURNING BOY has been nominated for Distinguished Production of a Play and two Distinguished Performance Awards (Reed Birney and Alexandra Socha).   DUSK RINGS A BELL has been nominated for the Distinguished Performance Award (Paul Sparks). 

GHETTO KLOWN has been nominated for the Distinguished Performance Award (John Leguizamo).

GOOD PEOPLE has been nominated for Distinguished Production of a Play and two Distinguished Performance Awards (Frances McDormand and Estelle Parsons). 

HIGH has been nominated for the Distinguished Performance Award (Kathleen Turner). 

THE HOUSE OF BLUE LEAVES has been nominated for Distinguished Revival of a Play and two Distinguished Performance Awards (Ben Stiller and Edie Falco). 

THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST has been nominated for Distinguished Revival of a Play and Distinguished Performance (Brian Bedford). 

JERUSALEM has been nominated for Distinguished Production of a Play and Distinguished Performance (Mark Rylance). 

LOMBARDI has been nominated for two Distinguished Performance Awards (Dan Lauria and Judith Light). 

THE MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT has been nominated for Distinguished Production of a Play and two Distinguished Performance Awards (Bobby Cannavale and Chris Rock). 

MRS. WARREN’S PROFESSION star Cherry Jones, a past recipient of the Distinguished Performance Award, will be honored on the dais for her work in the production. 

THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE has been nominated for Distinguished Production of a Musical and Distinguished Performance (Donna Murphy).  

PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL has been nominated for Distinguished Production of a Musical and two Distinguished Performance Awards (Tony Sheldon and Will Swenson). 

THIS WIDE NIGHT has been nominated for two Distinguished Performance Awards (Edie Falco and Alison Pill). 

TIGERS BE STILL has been nominated for the Distinguished Performance Award (Halley Feiffer). 

THE WHIPPING MAN has been nominated for the Distinguished Performance Award (André Braugher). 

Not for profit company nominations:   ATLANTIC THEATER COMPANY productions have been honored with three nominations: two nominations for THE COLLECTION and A KIND OF ALASKA and one nomination for DUSK RINGS A BELL. 

 

MANHATTAN THEATRE CLUB productions have been honored with four Drama League nominations: three nominations for GOOD PEOPLE and one nomination for THE WHIPPING MAN. 

 

NAKED ANGELS has been honored with two Drama League nominations for THIS WIDE NIGHT.  ROUNDABOUT THEATRE COMPANY productions have been honored with twelve nominations including three for ANYTHING GOES, three for THE DREAM OF THE BURNING BOY, two for THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, one for MRS. WARREN’S PROFESSION, two for THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE and one for TIGERS BE STILL. 

 

SIGNATURE THEATRE COMPANY has been honored with two Drama League nominations for ANGELS IN AMERICA.
